The vision for Antara’s Rock was to enhance the site for the many tourists who travel from across the Kingdom as well as the wider Arab region to the central region of Qassim. Tapping into the narrative of historical stories relating to the famous 6th-century poet and warrior Antara bin Shaddad Al-Absi and his love story, the notion of appearing and disappearing informed the conceptual design. The interventions considered the natural rhythm of the landscape, leading visitors along a series of paths and providing key viewing points towards the main feature of Antara’s Rock.
